How to replace a device 


If you have a new device, you’ll need to swap it out in your account to ensure your participation stays active. The process is a simple two-step "Out with the old, in with the new" approach.

Step 1: Remove Your Old Device

Before adding a new one, you must clear the slot by removing the unused hardware:

  1. Log In: Your Nielsen Computer & Mobile account using your credentials.

  2. Navigate: Click on Add/Remove Devices. You will see a list of all currently registered computers, mobiles, and tablets.

  3. Delete: Find the old device in the list and click Edit.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Remove.

    • Confirm your choice when prompted.

Step 2: Add Your Replacement Device

Once the old device is gone, you can register your new hardware.

  1. On the Add/Remove Devices page, click the New Device button.

  2. Select Type: Choose whether you are registering a Smartphone, Tablet, or Computer, then click Next.

  3. Complete Setup: Follow the prompts to finish registration. Your new device will now appear on your Devices page.

  4. Install: Click Install the App next to the new device and follow the on-screen instructions to get started.
